A (Birthday) Weekend in the Country

By seasideperspective

A quick thank you first of all for all the cards, good wishes and gifts for my birthday! Very kind. I will write (I promise) proper letters the old fashioned way this weekend!

We were up in Herefordshire this weekend with granny and grandpa where we had blue sky and bright sunshine most of the time. There was a very rural feel to the whole weekend. On Saturday we visited a huge pick-your-own farm, where you could literally pick anything from onions, carrots and pumpkins through to strawberries and apples.

Here granny Sue and Victoria are picking strawberries.

And here Charlotte is eating them!

I love this picture!

Later we dined al fresco

On Sunday there was a ploughing match(!) as well as sheep dog trials just round the corner.

And one of us really got into the country ways…

Lovely reminder of a great weekend, we had terrific fun with you all and as usual it’s been a bit quiet this week
