Running Like a Super Hero

April 28, 2008
On Saturday we were confronted on the sea front by a bunch of super heros running up and down.  We later discovered it was a Super Hero Fun Run!  Callum thought it was great!

It was a beautiful day and we took a picnic down to the beach.  It was a little breezy, but the sun was warm. Charlotte wearing this season’s sun hat.

Day Trip

April 20, 2008
Today we headed up to London for a day at the Natural History Museum.  The first leg of the journey was a bus trip to Brighton station.  Here is Callum waiting for the bus.

Once in London we traveled on the underground – can you spot Charlotte in the reflection?

Both children absolutely loved the museum, and it certainly was spectacular.

Callum doing his best dinosaur impression!

Charlotte wasn’t particularly impressed with this exhibit!

This, on the other hand they both loved.

Happy Birthmas? Happy Christday?

April 8, 2008
6th April, as you know, is Victoria’s birthday.  Last year was a beautiful spring day, we even barbecued!
This year it started doing this by 8:30am.

As Callum and I put the finishing touches to the birthday cake he asked “Does this mean it is Christmas?”

By the time we had finished I begun to wonder myself!  This is the back of our house.
Armed with a carrot, a few lumps of coal and some knitwear, we did the only thing you can do when it snows in the springtime.
After all the fun in the snow we came back into the warm to warm up and cut the cake.  A wonderful, and slightly unusual, day.
