Bank Holiday Weekend!

May 29, 2007

Despite the rubbish weather this weekend we were out and about supporting the Brighton Festival and other goings on.

The French market was great with all sorts of goodies on sale.

Not sure how French Paella is, but this is a man’s portion!

These two girls put on a very funny dance routine which involved lots of rolling round on the floor – they were covered in bruises!

Callum loved the skateboarding and I thought it was pretty cool too….

These guys did not care that the weather, it’s always sunny in their world.

What beautiful voices these three had (not sure what the fourth lady had to do with it!)

On Sunday we headed over to Middle Farm for the farmers market, and some fun in the hay.

Callum had someone in his sights when he picked up this handful…….

Yup, it was Mummy!!

There was a stand off between Callum and this chicken.

Charlotte loved the seesaw.

On Monday there was the annual Hove Lions Festival which is an annual event attracting some 10,000 visitors. Not this year!! It was wet, windy and freezing.

There were only about 100 people there when we arrived in the afternoon.

My favourite part of the afternoon was when an announcement was made over the loud speakers stating that the second demonstration by the Essex Dog Show was cancelled as the dogs were cold and wet and on their way home!! We did the same.

Early Morning Sail

May 25, 2007

I cycled in to work this morning along the seafront and was greeted by this amazing site. okay, so the picture does not really do it justice so you’ll just have to believe me!.

There must have been about 30 boats in total.

PARTY!

May 23, 2007

On Sunday Callum had a great day at two birthday parties. The first one was his little friend Daisy’s – it was not fancy dress, but you try telling Spiderman that!

This slide proved a roaring success with all the kids.

And some adults too!!!

A nice spread.

Will you stop taking pictures and let me eat!!

Yesterday I looked after the children and at the end of an exhausting day (for me anyway!) we hung out on the beach.
I did feed her I promise, but those stones are good……..

A Weekend in the Country

May 8, 2007

We spent the weekend in Hereford with Mum and Dad, Adam and Hannah, and Bee. We travelled up on Thursday night, and Vic and I worked during the day on Friday, but come five were ready to party!

Adam and Hannah arrived on Friday night having driven up from London.

The local farmer was busy all weekend planting potatoes in the field next door. I wanted to tell him that our potatoes at home are growing fantastically!!!

Adam lent some of his gear to Callum who loved the get up, or, is that get down??

Bee grabs a couple of minutes to read the paper and enjoy the sunshine.

Granny had discovered a perfect Cave of Wonders in the garden where Callum had lunch.

He spent quite a while in there!

Apparently there is no other way to travel……

Charlotte hanging out with her Dad and Uncle.
Callum helped overseeing the watering of the vegetable patch.
BUNDLE!!!
We had a short walk on Sunday as the clouds gathered.
At one point Adam and Hannah lost Callum – can you spot him??
Vic found him safe and well amongst some beautiful Bluebells.
The rest of the gang.

Mum and Bee enjoy a natter.
