Walking without SatNav

January 27, 2007

This afternoon we drove out into the ocuntry and had a good walk through the mud! Callum managed to walk most of it which was very impressive as the mud vertually came up to his knees. Here he is on some more solid ground.

Vic spotted this sign nailed to a tree that made us laugh. I wonder how many cars had travelled down the little lane before someone got their hammer out?

I’ve just taken these of Charlotte. She was really enjoying the camera! She is sitting really well now and as a result is happy for longer periods without being held. Callum is asleep otherwise he would be in there too. It’s quite a squash but they seem to manage okay!
Pictures from the “missing period” to follow!

It’s been a long time………..

We have turned the house upside down and inside out in a desperate search for the missing bits to the camera, namely the charger!!

I’m sure it will turn up at some point, but until then my phone will do the best it can!!!

We woke up (early!) this morning to snow falling. Not an everyday occurance by the sea and a certain young lad was very excited! There will be more on the way tonight apparently and hopefully we’ll get to make a snowman.

The neighbours car outside the house…….

The view from my office……..

Fit And Alive By The Sea Brighton Boy: DJ Norman Cook

Fit And Alive By The Sea

Updated: 04/01/2007 16:12:17

It’s home to super fit celebrities including DJ Fat Boy Slim, wife Zoe Ball, Heather Mills McCartney and Chris Eubank.

Now, the seaside city of Brighton and Hove has been named as the healthiest place to live in the UK.

Residents of the city indulge in a lifestyle of cycling, yoga and eating greens which puts them ahead in the fitness and happiness stakes.

A study for Sky Travel showed there is a higher than average number of gyms, personal trainers, cycle and healthfood shops in the south coast city.

And a lower than average number of fast food joints.

Brighton topped a list of 15 cities, followed closely by Bristol and London – with Liverpool and Glasgow coming in as the least healthy places to live.

Fit And Alive By The Sea Brighton is best

Brightonians are eating their way to a healthy image, with nearly a third of residents eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.

They are also more likely to leave their cars at home and cycle or walk to work instead.

The research also revealed you are twice as likely to find a yoga club in Brighton as opposed to any of the other 15 British cities.

The healthy lifestyle leads to Brighton residents living to an average age of 78, more than a year longer than the average age of the other 15 cities.

London is second only to Brighton in terms of healthy eating. However, the capital’s standing is hampered by having the worst air quality in the whole of the UK.

The healthy league table in full:

1 Brighton
2 Bristol
3 London
4 Cardiff
5 Nottingham
6 Belfast
7 Edinburgh
8 Plymouth
9 Leeds
10 Birmingham
11 Newcastle
12 Manchester
13 Sheffield
14 Glasgow
15 Liverpool.
