August 7, 2008 by seasideperspectiveCallum’s Birthday Party
August 7, 2008 by seasideperspectiveSaturday was the day of Callum’s party. We had planned a party on the park behind the house, including egg and spoon races, sack races, penalty competition - you get the idea.
However, it rained so we were forced inside with 15 children under five! It was chaos as you can imagine, but the children had great fun.
Adam and Hannah came down for the party, and here Hannah appears to be leading some kind of dance!
We played lots of games including musical chairs, parcel parcel (as Callum calls it!) and musical statues.
Victoria made a cake which Adam helped to decorate.
The whole thing got demolished very quickly!
Birthday Party
July 15, 2008 by seasideperspectiveWe woke Charlotte up this morning by singing Happy Birthday, and she sat up in her cot and did a little dance - very happy!
Her new fairy tent was a big hit!
After nursery Charlotte had a few friends round for a party.
Vic made a ladybird birthday cake, which was delicious!
Vic even made another cake that Charlotte took to nursery. How many little girls do you know who have three birthday cakes?!
Rumor has it, there may even be a fourth in Scotland later this week!!!!
Early Birthday Celebrations
July 15, 2008 by seasideperspectiveWe spent a lovely weekend in Hereford with Tessa, Adam and Hannah and Granny and Grandpa. It was a bit of a double celebration - Granny’s birthday from last week and Charlotte’s birthday coming up in Tuesday.
This is the first of many cakes!
It was mainly the adults who got into the games!
Between us we managed to take some lovely pictures. Tessa and the children enjoying the sunshine.
Granny doing her best to hide her sling. Did you know she fell out of a tree??
Adam chillin’ with the crew….
Grandpa and Callum share a moment.

A Weekend of Two Halves
July 7, 2008 by seasideperspectiveContrasting weekend weather wise. Saturday, forecast for heavy showers, was beautiful. Blue skies, hot sun, and a cool breeze. We headed into Brighton where the Paddle Round The Pier festival was taking place.. All sorts going on including live music on Hove Lawns. Seemed the right thing to do was to stop and have a pint!
Sunday it rained and it billowed (30mph winds apparently). Wendi and the boys arrived back from Scotland in the morning and after a traditional Sunday lunch, a movie and popcorn, I took all the boys down to the beach.
It was not very long before all three of them had managed to get absolutely soaked by the incoming tide. Wish I’d caught it on film. Here they are after the event!!!
No forcin’ the sea…..
American Cousins
July 1, 2008 by seasideperspectiveWe have had a lovely week with Wendi, Jeremy and Jake who are visiting from California. They are now up in Scotland and we miss them!
Last Wednesday Vic, Callum and Charlotte joined them for a day trip to London where, amongst other things, they took a ride on the London Eye!
Callum obviously has a head for heights having been up the Eiffel Tower just weeks before!
Wendi and all the boys with Big Ben.
On Friday night we packed the car and went camping in the countryside.
And had lots of fun!
There was plenty of room for running around (spot the kite!), a couple of ponds with big fish and a very friendly owner who jump started the car!
At night we had marshmallows - US style! For the uneducated, that includes chocolate and biscuits to make a sandwich.
And finally, here is a picture specifically for Grandpa. Your grandchildren outside the Royal Oak where we had Sunday lunch. Won’t be long before Callum is buying you a pint in here!!
